First Friday Art Trail is a community-driven initiative organized by a collective of local artists in Greater Vernon.
Held on the first Friday of every month, this free event invites the public to explore open studios and creative spaces throughout the region — connecting with artists, learning about their work, and celebrating local culture.
The Art Trail’s purpose is to promote art education, collaboration, and community connection by making art more visible and accessible in our city.

VPAG’s Participation
While the Vernon Public Art Gallery isn’t a working artist studio, we’re proud to participate as a host venue for artists who don’t have a public studio space. Each month, we showcase a local artist through an open studio-style experience, providing a platform for local artists to connect with visitors, share their creative process, and showcase their work in progress.
Why We Participate
The Vernon Public Art Gallery values opportunities to connect artists and audiences in meaningful ways.
Through our participation in the First Friday Art Trail, we help support local talent, encourage community engagement, and contribute to Vernon’s growing culture of creativity.
