About the Artist
Cathy Shultz was born and raised in Vernon, BC, was away for a number of years and returned to her hometown in 2000. She has been creating art on a full-time basis since 2015. Her work has been displayed in a variety of galleries in the Okanagan. She currently divides her time between painting and drawing. Her drawings are done with graphite and are primarily portraits. Cathy has worked with acrylics and alcohol inks, but has discovered when she paints, she prefers watercolours for their fluidity and luminosity. For her, watercolour provides endless possibilities for self-discovery and artistic creativity.
