The MEA Auction Preview offers a first look at the full collection of artworks generously donated by local and regional artists in support of the Vernon Public Art Gallery’s annual MEA fundraising auction.
Installed in the gallery throughout the month leading up to the event, this exhibition invites visitors to experience the artworks in person, explore a wide range of creative practices, and learn more about the participating artists. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a first-time bidder, the preview provides the perfect opportunity to plan your bids in advance and support the arts in your community.

What is Midsummer’s Eve of the Arts?
Midsummer’s Eve of the Arts is the Vernon Public Art Gallery’s 40th annual benefit fundraiser, presented by Bannister Honda.
As the Okanagan’s longest-running art auction, this signature event has become a cornerstone of the Greater Vernon arts community—bringing together artists, collectors, and community members for an unforgettable evening in support of accessible arts programming.
Taking place on July 15, 2026, from 6 PM to late at the Coldstream Community Centre, the evening celebrates the incredible creative talent within our region through a vibrant mix of art, experiences, and community connection.
The event features a curated collection of artwork generously donated by local artists, alongside unique experience packages offered through both silent and live auctions. From original works of art to travel and lifestyle experiences, each item contributes to a dynamic and highly anticipated auction environment.
All proceeds directly support the Vernon Public Art Gallery’s exhibitions, education programs, and community initiatives, helping ensure the arts remain accessible and thriving in our region.
Guests will enjoy a lively live auction featuring one-of-a-kind works, a silent auction of exceptional packages, and a welcoming atmosphere filled with music, scenic surroundings, and community energy.
The evening begins with a complimentary welcome cocktail, followed by local BC wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres, creating an engaging social experience throughout the night.
