About the Artist
Armando Barrera is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited in festivals, exhibitions, and gallery spaces across Mexico and Canada. The ambition to build a life through art has been constant since childhood and continues to shape his direction today. His practice is rooted in a deep exploration of portraiture, where he spent several years studying faces, expressions, and the subtle details that give presence and emotion to a drawing. This period became foundational, developing patience and technical precision while allowing a distinct visual language to emerge. Through this process, Barrera has cultivated a style that balances observation with personal interpretation, with each piece reflecting both discipline and an evolving sense of identity.
