What is Crit Club?
Crit Club is a fun, hands-on program for teens who love to make art — or just want to try something new! Each month, a different local artist leads a creative workshop and critique session where teens can explore new materials, learn techniques, and share their work in a supportive, no-judgment space. From painting and collage to printmaking and sculpture, each session offers insight into the artistic process while encouraging connection, creativity, and self-expression.
How it Works
Exhibition Opportunity
Crit Club members also have the exciting opportunity to showcase their work in a professional exhibition at the Vernon Public Art Gallery. This exhibition serves as a culmination of their hard work, offering them a platform to display their art to the public and receive recognition for their creative efforts.
Why Join Crit Club?
Crit Club gives teens the tools and confidence to grow as artists. With guidance from professional artists, a supportive community of peers, and the opportunity to showcase their work at VPAG, participants can explore, create, and thrive in a safe, welcoming space.
RSVPs are encouraged so we know how much pizza to order — but walk-ins are welcome!
