Wolff\n\n\n\nTopham Brown GalleryMarch 14 – May 15\, 2024 \n\n\nThe Vernon Public Art Gallery is pleased to introduce the exhibition titled There Must Be Life produced by Ulrich J. Wolff. Based in Karlsruhe\, Germany\, the artist and educator is known for his vast range of images including natural and urban landscapes\, architecture\, bodies of water\, fields\, forests\, and vegetation. While dedicated to photographically constructed imagery and environments devoid of human presence\, Wolff’s also includes haunting portraits which reflect the mysteries of the human condition. \nWinner of the 2021 Okanagan Print Triennial (OPT)\, a tri-annual exhibition rotating between the Vernon Public Art Gallery and the Kelowna Art Gallery\, Ulrich J. Wolff\, is set to attend the opening reception on March 14th at the VPAG.

SUMMARY:Family Saturday: Gelli Printing
DESCRIPTION:Gelli Printing – This Session is Full!\n\n\n\nApril 27th from 1:00 – 3:30 pm: \n\n\n\nThis session will begin with a tour of the exhibition There Must be Life by the Germany based artist\, Ulrich J. Wolff. This exhibition predominately uses photography and etching to comment on the deterioration of modernism. Inspired by the materiality of the artwork\, we will be gelli printing. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us on the last Saturday of each month\, Family Saturdays take place with an art project suitable for both little kids and big kids. Parents/guardians are also encouraged to participate and create their own works of art. The workshop begins promptly at 1 p.m.\, and families are welcome to stay for the whole session\, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.\, or to depart sooner. All materials required for the workshops are provided. To ensure a space\, please pre-register online.\n\n\n\n\n• $5/members • $9/non-members. \nSierra\, our Learning and Community Engagement Curator\, will begin the workshop by touring the current exhibition that is on display. Afterward\, she will lead you through a hands-on art activity inspired by the artwork.
